GC Internal sample injectors W and UW Type Valco internal sample injectors are designed for injecting samples that are too small for conventional loop injection. Since the internal sample "loop" is actually an engraved slot on the rotor sized to contain the specified amount of sample, available sample sizes range from .06 µl to 2 µl, depending on the valve model.

Actuation

Valves can be actuated manually or automated with pneumatic or electric actuators. Read more about actuators.

Standoffs

GC valves usually require a standoff - an extension between the valve and actuator which allows the valve to be mounted in the heated zone while the actuator or handle remains outside at ambient temperature. Standoffs are available in lengths of 2", 3" 4", and 6".
