Description | 1. MES buffer is a good biological buffer in electrophoresis, which is used for protein separation on acrylamide gels. 2. MES is one of the crystallization buffers. 3. It is one of the Good’s buffers. 4. It is also useful as a non-coordinating buffer in chemistry involving metal ions, as many common buffers ( e.g. phosphate and acetate ) readily form coordination complexes. 5. MES is component in the DNase buffer solution, and does not interfere with the Folin protein assay. |
