Stability Check
Turner Designs unique Secondary Standards provide a simple and quick way to check for correct operation of the sensor. The Secondary Standard can be adjusted so that when attached to the sensor, the sensor generates a desired output voltage, normally the voltage corresponding to a known chlorophyll or dye concentration.
CYCLOPS-7 stability can then be quickly and easily verified at a desired later time by measuring the sensor output voltage with the same secondary standard.
Pigtail Accessory Provides Standalone Operation
The CYCLOPS-7 sensors are provided with a 2’ long pigtail cable so they can be tested and operated independently. The pigtail cable enables connection of a power supply; a multi-meter to read the sensor output voltage, plus sensor gain setting connections. TD-200
TD-200 Field Logger and Display – In order to meet our customers needs for a rugged field display and data logger, we will be providing a custom version of their field display system. The TD-200 will allow customers to use the C7 in the field independently. The system supplies power to the C7, logs 1,000 data points, has a LCD screen to see the data in real time, and allows for gain switching.
CYCLOPS-7 Shade Cap (2100-700) – The Shade Cap was designed to protect the C7 from ambient light and the optics from damage when working in a shallow environment with high ambient light levels. The project started when we heard from a dye tracing group that was using the C7 in shallow, clear streams (<1m depth) and had to lay the C7 on it’s side. When placed on the bottom and on it’s side, direct or reflected sunlight can interfere with the signal. The Shade Cap will prevent this from occurring and will also provide protection to the optics from solid objects. The cap is not required for typical oceanographic deployments where the water is >1m and the sensor is pointed down, into the water column.
C7 flow through cap (PN: 2100-600) The cap has been designed with integration to Sea-Bird CTDs in mind but the cap can also be used to allow pumpthrough applications assuming the in-line pressure does not exceed 50psi.
