千萬不要用微波爐燒開水！
用微波爐燒開水或牛奶會爆炸嗎？
實驗者把一隻燒杯盛滿水用微波爐加熱，然後取出，用勺子舀了一勺咖啡粉，將咖啡粉連勺子一起放入水中，結果水馬上從燒杯裡噴濺出來，濺到實驗員戴著防護手套的手上。上傳這段視頻的網友提醒人們：“千萬不要用微波爐燒開水！”
因為微波爐是用來加熱食物的說法是不太恰當的，因為微波爐是利用micro-waves讓水分子產生共振，與傳統的加熱相差太大。
用瓦斯爐燒開水是利用水溫上升，讓水分子的平均動能隨著時間而擴大，動能的增加來自於水分子間彼此的碰撞所致，對著整群水分子加速，屬於緩慢碰撞，產生明顯的對流，也因此最後才有沸騰的現象。
用微波爐燒開水的過程是利用微波的能量破壞水分子間的氫鍵，但是由於氫原子與氧氣原子彼此對於電子親和力的不同，水分子之間的氫原子與氧原子又產生鍵結的現象，隨著氫鍵的破壞與重組，使得水分子不斷地在擾動，水分子重新排列的結果，放出紅外線，使得個別水分子的平均動能增加，由於是個別的現象，因此外觀上看不出有明顯的沸騰的現象。但如果外界擾動整杯水，水分子與水分子間產生碰撞，將釋放出巨大的能量，進而產生突沸之現象，不可不小心以免造成不必要的傷害。

Multi-Rotator Multi Bio RS-24 performs several motion types in one module.
