ANKOMXT10 Extractor technology delivers a low cost option for Soxhlet type extractons. The ANKOMXT10 Extractor uses ANKOM Filter Bag Technology (FBT) to increase sample throughput while maintaining sample integrity.
The ANKOMXT10 Extractor utilizes technology developed by ANKOM to reduce extraction times for all sample types using traditional solvents. Extraction times normally will not exceed thirty minutes.
Like our higher volume XT20 the analysis of fat in the ANKOMXT10 Extractor is based on the solublization properties of traditional solvents. The ANKOMXT10 Extractor accelerates the process by performing the extraction under pressure at elevated temperatures with reflux action.
The ANKOMXT10 Extractor utilizes batch processing for the extraction of up to ten samples at a time. With the capability of more than 100 samples per day, throughput is dramatically increased. The secret to the process is the encapsulation and quantitative recovery of each sample in a filter bag. The filter media is a specially made laminate, ultrasonically welded, capable of retaining particles less than one micron in size. All samples are submerged in heated solvent facilitating extraction from the sample matrix. The integrity of the sample is preserved by the inability of particles to escape encapsulation.
